Minutes of the Michigan state Forestry Commission, 1899-1909.

This record group consists of minutes of the Forestry Commission of the state of Michigan for the years 1899-1909. Includes carbon copies of the minutes, primarily policy statements and reports of activities: securing information about Michigan forest problems, cooperation with institutions of higher education, plans for an experiment station, preserves, enforcement, legislation, and finances. Includes brief history of efforts which resulted in the creation of the Commission. A list of expenditures in 1900 offers information on office operation and photographic laboratory.
